Debugging with a cheap oscilliscopeHaving built an amplifier and controller I was not confident that they were working correctly, so I bought an "Exprotolab" from Gabotronics http://www.gabotronics.com/ for $49! My requirements were not high, all I needed was to track the signal through the Amp and also use it to find a good low noise location. To my amazement it performed very well.I disconnected the ferrite aerials, bridged the inputs and fed a square wave into the Amp from the Exprotolab via a 1K inline resistor. I loaded the PC software included (Xscope Interface) and it was very easy to chase the signal through. As a final check I compared the two outputs - all good. The very small display works OK, however I might go for the larger unit for an additional $20.
