Did Illinois just have an earthquake? 11/5/11 10:56pm

So.....  Think we just had an earthquake.  Whole room shook a bit, didn't like it at all.  Please don't happen again.

Looks like a 5.2 in Oklahoma.  (edit: now rated a 5.6)

Looks like a lot of folks felt this one. According to the USGS it was a 5.6 at 10:53 local time in Oklahoma and was felt for quite a distance around the epicenter. I understand it is quite common for quakes in the central of the US to be felt for long distances due to the topography of the area.

This quake at 5.6 was stronger than the original one of 4.7.  It felt like it was stronger here,  so I'm not surprised the quake was felt beyond states bordering Oklahoma.

Didnt notice anything here in central illinois.
