Title: Aurora Reading
Post by: Scalphunter on July 04, 2011, 01:32:40 AM
Here is an book if any one interested in Earth Sciences for their library and add to their knowledge.

The Aurora Wather's Handbook  by Neil Davis

It is well written  and informative. Some color plates of the diffent type aurora and it goes somewhat into depth for the layman of what makes an aurora tick. Also covers the studies done from space in it with photo's from The shuttle.

Thanks John!  I don't get as many chances to see the aurora as much as you do but I always have my "antennas"  tuned just in case.  I saw an incredible display back in the middle 90's here.  At my zenith the red and green colors were all converging on a point.
Never saw anything like it before or since.  The book will be good reading!
    Happy 4th!
