Davis Vantage Pro 2 won't write and delete
« on: December 10, 2008, 06:57:19 AM »
Suddenly my Davis Vantage Pro 2 won't delete the downloaded data from the datalogger - nor will it write it to the database.  I didn't change anything - can the database get too large to be written to?  What setting do I fix to fix this?  I've been through everything and gotten more and more frustrated....HELP!

First, make sure the console clock is set correctly. If it is, disconnect the logger from the computer. Remove all power from the console including the batteries and remove the logger. Wait a few minutes. Reinstall the logger then power up the console. The console should beep 3 times when power is reapplied. Make sure the console clock is correct. Connect the logger to the computer and check for proper operation.

Also make sure there is not a "bad" record in your data if you are using WeatherLink.  Go to the Browse data screen, every once in a while I get a whacked out record at the end sometime in the future and it does not think it needs to store any more records.
