Topic: MESONET Map no longer updating

Is anyone else still using the VWS MESONET map?  Mine has stopped updating and is now totally blank.  It has been like this for over 24 hours.  Any ideas why it suddenly broke?  Who is the provider of this data?  It is listed under the Wunderground menu, so have they done something to break it?  I've restarted VWS several times, as well as rebooting my weather computer.

Yep, I just noticed the same thing.  Not sure when that started happening.  I was just checking my almanac section.  It's showing zero's for record high/low and average hi/low.

I would say something is up with WUnderground.

I'm running 14 P65 for VWS, in case it's a version issue.

I'm having the same problem. Not a version issue, I'm running 15.03.

The Mesonet data is from WUnderground, correct?

I am seeing the same thing as is a buddy of mine with an independent Web Site. It seems the problem started approximately 2 days ago. The Local Weather Exchange Network information no longer populates either on the VWS canned Web Page. Record and Normals data is no longer populating either. I am running VWS V15.00 p03. My buddy is running VWS V14.01 so don't think it's a software version issue.

Here is an email to someone on the Weather Underground Help Staff that you can try for assistance. When I have a little time later today I plan to drop William an email to see if he knows what is going on. He has been helpful in the past when the satellite pictures get outdated. Well, I fired off an email to William at Weather Underground. Then I did a little more digging on this forum and found the following:

Sounds like this could take a while to resolve.

William sent me a reply which appears to be the same as in the other forum link. Looks like VWS by Ambient may have to get involved.

VWS was written by Ambient Weather, and we don't have any direct control over the program itself. It looks like a change that we made to our system is conflicting with the original program, but the change was necessary for our site and services.
Ideally, VWS needs an update. But it's an older program and that might not be possible for Ambient to make that change.

There isn't a clear solution right now, but we'll see if there's anything that we can do.

I just exchanged emails with Ed at Ambient. Here's his response:

I am speaking to them (Wunderground). They gave me no warning and I am not sure what the resolution is yet.

Some of it updating but not all staions are showing up. Data is still corrupt.
