Where Have All The Webcams Gone? Long Time Passing....
« on: August 17, 2019, 11:42:32 AM »
You all know the tune. Noticed today that WunderMaps (aka WonderMaps) are now missing ALL webcams, even the DOT cameras. Just another useless check box added to the pile of missing features. What will be next?  Stay tuned, and oh yeah, but stock in Fiddle Faddle

Yes I concur...Let's give this till Monday or Tuesday and see if it is a simple glitch. If not I'll add it to the Trello issue board.

Maybe Brutus tripped on the power cord.

It's not just webcams, my neighborhood used to have 15 stations in 15 mile radius.  Now there are only about 5 showing on the vonder map.  Did people just give up?  did their station take a screaming crap?   My webcam is blurred, neighbors is upside down. about 12 webcams are missing in my area and have been since WU went wack-a-doodle.

Not sure if I noticed it until this week - (as my camera dropped off...and I'm sending images to my own server)...but I see my station and webcams All have individual login keys, and a notice that 9/30 is the last day that password sync will login the devices. I'll be experimenting with ftp vs. link to see if the lag exist with both services. Since I've had to recreate my cam a couple months ago it seems that images in either transport mode were only posting every few hours instead of every 5/10 min as before...

I had forgotten to check on this... Thank you for the update.

I guess this is good experience if like you said it happens again. If this becomes a reoccurring issue where they come and go then I'll consider it not fixed and track it, till we go through a long period of time without issue to then call it fixed.

Perhaps this issue is a good thing as it shows that WU is actively working on making the cameras work more reliably. At least I'd like to think so. My glass is always half full.
