Uploading weather data to wunderground.com
« on: January 12, 2011, 07:53:30 PM »
My PWS is a LaCrosse WS-3610.  My weather station is communicating data properly with my PC. I have Heavyweather Publisher installed on my Dell.  I have a PWS I.D. (KCACOARS10) assigned by Wunderground.  However, Wunderground reports "no data" from my station.  Somehow I have not established a link from my computer to Wunderground.  Heavyweather Publisher asks for FTP Server Name, Username, Password, Target file path and File name but I do not have a clue what to enter in these fields.
Please help!
Terry

FTP stuff sounds like items for people that publish a web page.  Uploading to WU should have a different tab (or options page) with a space for long/lat, user ID, password, etc.

I looked through the manual for hw Pro I found at this link:

http://www.lacrossetechnology.com/pdf/HW_1_1_3600_Installation.pdf

It's not a very easy manual to read, especially since I don't have that type of weather station.

Perhaps you need to try WUHU (Weather Underground Heavyweather Uploader) software instead of publisher.  It's free and works wonderfully.  After reading the manual listed above, it sounds like it would be much easier.

Good luck!

Is he using something along with Heavy Weather? I thought most people used Heavy Weather with Virtual Weather station...
