Getting this message when I click on FindU

Any ideas what has happened? FYI I made updates to firmware for WiFiLogger this morning. All seemed okay except for this message.

Dang it.

I can confirm you are no longer sending data.  Probably not a CWOP issue but something with wifilogger. You may need to post on  wifilogger thread so he see's it.

Randy, Thanks. I think I got it fixed. Been doing upgrades to wifilogger.

We need snow!

Made those updates today. Pressure according to CWOP continues to be a problem. The graph below from CWOP  shows the problems I had that interrupted signal. Little concerned at the difference between the two traces here. Before I panic again, I will wait and see what time does.

Your altimeter is about (.14) low. Adjust it up and see if it follows correctly. 29.84 should be around 29.98.  Once in ballpark tweak it to nearest airport on days pressure is rather steady.

Would appreciate any input on the difference between the top 2 graphs and the bottom graph. (Top two are MesoWest. 1st one Altimeter, 2nd is Pressure. 3rd one is CWOP. )

ONE
https://mesowest.utah.edu/cgi-bin/droman/time_chart_dyn.cgi?stn=F4369&unit=0&hours=25&past=0&day1=0&month1=&year1=&hour1=00&time=GMT&var=PRES&level=

TWO

 THREE
https://weather.gladstonefamily.net/site/f4369

In my humble opinion the MesoWest graphs indicate that my VP2 is handling pressure just fine. Your analysis?

Thank  you from Kansas

The blue and red lines mean two different things on Mesowest and Gladstonefamily.net.

The Mesowest blue line is Station Pressure (Absolute pressure). Since you are at 1791 feet it doesn't make sense that the two lines should converge that closely as you are seeing now. Mesowest does a reverse calculation to find out your Station Pressure. The red line is your Altimeter as that is clearly stated but it seems Mesowest is doing a wrong calculation which I can't figure out at the moment.

On Gladstonefamily.net the blue line is the Altimeter data coming from your weather station. In this case the pressure that the WiFi Logger has calculated from your Davis Station Pressure. The red line is the QC analysis of what your station should be. But don't chase analysis lines if you know your station to be right. But in this case looking at your METARs to the North and South and looking at isobars on Windy.com it seems you are low. Somewhere between 0.11 and 0.14 inhg too low.

ONE and TWO are the same link.

For 1791 feet there should be somewhere around 1.98 inHg difference between Station Pressure and Altimeter.

ValentineWeather replied to me with this, earlier this morning:

Seems both of you in agreement that I need to make an adjustment.

Thanks to both of you guys on this. Take care

You are close now on altimeter. Hill City airport 29.71 and you are 29.73. Brewster Field Airport north in Nebraska  is 29.75. This is almost where you want to be on altimeter.

I think you are okay with the adjustment you made as long as the conversion formula is working correctly. Keep an eye on these 2 airports especially when atmospheric pressure has settled.

You can look at all these airport altimeters by finding and click on airports and at bottom of popup open additional tabular and graphical displays.

I agree. You are where you want to be. Let it ride for a few days. Then double check. Wait for a good day perhaps when isobars line up and KHDE and KHLC both have the same pressure. As long as you, in the middle, are not sitting on a High or Low zone which you confirm by looking at the isobars then you should all three match up. But I think you got it.

I like using Mesowest maps and selecting a radius 50 miles. Then selecting two indicators, Sea Level Pressure and Altimeter (don't choose just Pressure as that is station pressure). That is what I've done below. To read the number on the map you add a 2 or 3 in front of every number if you are on English units....or add a 9 or 10 if you are in Metric units.

Here is the isobar lines currently on Windy.com.  As you can see you are staggered with KHLC, You, KHDE which corresponds to the trend indicated by the isobars.

These numbers are all Sea Level Pressure.

The perfect day I'm referring to is when the isobars look like this marked in red instead the current blue lines.

Looks good.  Here is another sea level pressure HRRR model. This model runs hourly.

Okay, ValentineWeather and galfert, feeling better about pressure than I have for 4 days!

Ordered a replacement under warranty for the VP2 humidity/temperature sensor through Scaled Instruments. He is good to work with. No problems.

Thanks again!

At 4pm central the surrounding airports are 30.11 or 30.10 same as Mr. Roberts. It's looking good.
