NWS Cooperative Station
« on: January 13, 2010, 11:46:34 AM »
The National Weather Service Cooperative Representative from Peachtree City, Ga. upgraded the Fischer-Porter weighing rain gauge installed in Lexington.  The punched paper tape mechanism was replaced with an electronic system using a memory card for data archive.
If anyone in Georgia is interested in having a Cooperative weather station installed at their location, PM me with name, exact location where you wish the station to be located.  If you're not located in Georgia, I'll forward your information also.  The NWS Peachtree City region of Georgia has several areas not covered by weather reporting stations.  Seeking volunteers.
Al Washington, Lexington, Ga.,  NWS Coop station=LXTG1, Fischer Porter, SRG, MMTS.
