Convert clientraw.txt
« on: June 28, 2009, 12:41:05 AM »
Is there any way to convert the clientraw.txt so it will fit VWS?

What i mean is to change the tags from WD to VWS or have it to be done by hand?

I'm not sure I understand what you are asking for, Lars.

The WD tags are all %tagname% and the VWS tags are all ^v..nnn^

WD clientraw.txt has units of measure as C, knots, rain-mm, baro-hPa
VWS WeatherFlash text files have units of measure in F, mph, rain-in, baro-inHg

Did you want VWS to emit a 'clientraw.txt' like file?  If so, it already does with WeatherFlash http uploads to your website.

In any event, changing tag names from WD to VWS (or vice versa) will be a manual effort to match variables provided by each program.  WD has a lot more %tags% that VWS offers.

Hope this helps...

Thanks for your replay Ken.

My purpose was to use your templates that require the use of clientraw.txt.

If I understand you right, this should be possible by changing the tags in clientraw.txt to VWS tags manual.
