I just heard on the Weather Channel Abrams & Bettes that the county had up to 19 inches of rain and emergency rescue folks had done 45 swift water rescues.   :shock:

I hope Gary is ok in Round Rock and is hanging in there as County EOC manager.

* AT 547 PM CDT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED
A BAND OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS OVER EASTERN PARTS OF TRAVIS
AND WILLIAMSON COUNTIES. THIS ACTIVITY IS TRAINING OVER THE SAME
AREAS AND HAS A POTENTIAL TO PRODUCE ISOLATED RAINFALL TOTALS OVER
TWO INCHES.

LOW WATER CROSSINGS OF SECONDARY ROADS OVER AREAS EAST OF I-35 MAY
BECOME FLOODED. IF HEAVY RAINFALL CONTINUES OVER THESE SAME AREAS
PAST 630 PM...A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MAY BE ISSUED.

WHEN WATER COVERS THE ROAD...TURN AROUND DON`T DROWN. STAY TUNED TO

Just heard that rainfall figure earlier on the national news...

Brought back memories of hurricane Floyd... in some parts of SE N. Carolina we got close to 23" in 24 hours...

What a treat...  :cry:
