Hi guys, I really need your help... I am setting up a portable weather station consisting of a Campbell Scientific CR1000, a Met One 076B radiation shield, Thermometric PRT's, a RM Young AQ Wind Monitor, and a Li-cor pyranometer. I am looking to build a standard 1.5m tripod that will monitor temperature at 1.5m above the ground and also wind speed at this height in an open field along the path of totality in SW Kentucky.
My goal is to capture a nice log of the conditions an hour before the start of the eclipse to an hour after. I want to make the data available to anyone that wants to use it. But I am not sure of how I should program the data logger to put the data together, I know our Kentucky Mesonet using a 3 second sampling period, and I thought about logging every sample, and then maybe a one minute log of max and min and average.
The real problem going into this, is I could not find anywhere on the web showing similar data for other eclipses, so I am looking for input, if you were wanting to look at this data of an eclipse, Im sure maybe you would be interested in the temperature drop, etc. But I want to know what data people would want, and I want to make sure I go into this having collected the detailed data that would help anyone answer there inquire.
Thank you, I look forward to any comments.
