Topic: LaCrosse WS1913 or similar?

A guy has asked me whether on another forum whether the Lacrosse WS1913 is a good buy, he doesn't want a station worth ~$1k which integrates with the computer, does soil moisture or anything like that. Is this station a good buy? Or would you leave it in favour of something else?
