$300 Station with wifi capability?
« on: January 21, 2015, 11:49:58 AM »
Hi,

My old La Crosse 2308 weather station had died and I am looking to replace it.

I'm seriously considering the Ambient WS-10001-wifi for $280.
I'd go for their 1400-IP if I didn't want a display panel.

The Davis systems look to be considerably more expensive after adding software to publish to the web.

Any thoughts on this choice or other reasonable suggestions are welcome.

Thanks!

Perhaps you mean adding the Davis Weatherlink datalogger so you can connect the station console to your computer.  The software is included at no extra charge in the Davis Weatherlink Datalogger package or there is other software that is no charge or donationware that you can use once you have the station connected to a computer.

Enjoy,
Paul
