Cumulus FTP Issue
« on: July 19, 2015, 12:37:35 PM »
Hi everyone! I just noticed that my realtime is uploading correctly, but my ftp is not. I checked the directions associated with Cumulus on Ken's page and cannot figure out what connection is wrong. Could someone give me some guidance on what the issue is?

Your CUtags.php seems not be uploading http://www.fitzweather.com/index.php/CUtags.php?sce=dump

What do you have in your Cumulus > Configuration  > Internet > Sites/Options "Directory"
and in Cumulus > Configuration > Internet > Files for the "Remote filename" for CUtags?

Thanks for responding Paul!  8-)

I feel like it's the directory for the Internet options, but admittedly, I kind of confused myself when I was trying to figure it out, and I didn't want to mess anything up.

Here's what I have below:

Not sure if this will help, but since your realtime.txt is updating http://www.fitzweather.com/realtime.txt try leaving Sites/Options "Directory" blank.

OK, a question.  When you log into your site via FTP, does it take you directly to the fitzweather directory or do you have to change into it?

Path issues are always confusing to me but can eventually get them correct.  Having relooked at your settings, if the above does not work try it differently;
For my "Directory" settings I have just simply weather whereas you have /fitzweather.com and for both us our realtime.txt are updating;
In my "Files" tab I have weather/CUtags.php so perhaps yours should be /fitzweather.com/CUtags.php

It takes me to it as soon as I log in  8-)

And I will try that Paul. I'll respond as soon as I see what it does.

Under the configuration menu you might also try enabling ftp logging.  It will generate a file called ftplog.txt in the root directory of Cumulus.  Open it and copy/paste some entries.  That can be beneficial.

Yes CUtags.php is now current.  On realtime.txt, can you go back to what you had original in the "Directory" setting to when you had it updating until about an hour ago?

I would uncheck active ftp also. Passive is better way.
