Console updater
« on: July 30, 2006, 01:20:32 AM »
My console updater is on the way from Davis, I rented it.

Any thing I should be aware of before I tackle this upgrade?

Thanks

30 bucks if I recall correctly, and you have 30 days to perform the update, so don't sit on it and forget you have it or they'll charge you the full amount. Use the included return sticker to ship it back.

Side note: For anyone wondering or happens across my site these past few days I'm doing some things on my PC that takes all it's resources so my site has not been updating. No concern though it's totally self inflicted.

Maybe it's time we all put on our tin foil hats for protection!  ...Or brace for a major storm in the PA area.   :-k

I rented one from Davis when the latest firmware upgrade came out last year. I followed the instructions (a novel idea...) and everything worked perfectly. I think it cost me $20 to rent and another $8 or so to ship it back to them. And, as you said DON'T FORGET to send it back within the 30 days or you'll pay full RETAIL for it...

You're welcome bigdog!

And Mark, I never leave home without mine, double foil to be extra careful!

Proper construction requires double foil. You have to have a shiny side on the outside to keep the mind control waves from getting in and another shiny side facing in to keep your brain waves from escaping.

And don't forget the ground wire!  8-[

 No wonder I felt all tingly during electrical storms.  I forgot the ground wire.  Hmm, that could also explain some other things that.... well I won't go there.

You guys are killing me, pilot that picture lol

Rank amateurs, in between the two layers of foil I put a 1/4" slab of rubber to eliminate crosstalk.

There's our proof guys.  We all know only the operator of a transmitter connected to a computer using bookoo resources requires the hat with a rubber dielectric insulator!

Caught ya!   [-X
