Another software with many users here in Europe is WsWin32

I'm using Wswin 32 on my website. You can have a look

Many thanks Marcel for thinking of me

Howdy Paul! :)  I hope you are doing well!  Cumulus has been percolating along ever since I set it up back in May of 2013...thanks to you and several more peoples help!  I know, it's only been about eight months since I/we set it up, but honestly, for the last *several* months it has been simply sitting there humming along without any intervention from me except to occasionally reboot the laptop just to "freshen" things up a bit and to occasionally check the range gauge for bird poop (but that's not software related...soft, but not software!  :-P)!  Cumulus has been an amazingly stable piece of software for me.  I guess I need to go over to Sandysoft and see what version and tweaks Steve has brought the program up to now.  I'm currently running v1.9.4-b1079.  A very solid weather program in my newbie eyes!

I'm curious as to what software the member's here use with their personal weather stations to view the data and analyze trends
I have selected WL and Cumulus.  Still using WL once every 15 days to keep data up to date but using Cumulus as the main program since October 2008.  Cumulus is very easy to use, does all that I want and more.  Very happy with the ongoing development and excellent support.  I have abandoned VVP.  I also run a couple of other independent but Cumulus related programs - Cumulus Toolbox utility and Cumulus Realtime Data Grabber http://www.komokaweather.com/weather/grabber/grabberindexportrait.htm.  And Yawcam for the webcam.

Hi Ed, good to see you stop by here once in a while!
I have been doing well, thank you.  Also been very busy on these cold staying-inside kind of weather days by bothering the great folks here and at Cumulus forum with my questions and obstacles in adding some of the available scripts that others so gratefully make available.  As another shameless mention of why I use the Cumulus software is the Davis Console script, the new CloudbaseCU chart, the Top Ten and Daily Summary pages, and BT's Sager Weathercaster among others that I have been able to play with and successfully add.  It has been a great learning experience :D

I use Cumulus sending to WUnderground. I looked at WD but did not like the display compared with Cumulus.
I am taking delivery of a V2+ this coming week with WeatherLinkIP. As most of the PWS's in my area use Underground even the ones with Davis equipment, I think I will stick with Cumulus, however..................watch this space :-)

I have recently switched from PC to Apple, my PC is now only used as a weather and Garmin computer. I wish Cumulus would bring out an OS X version, I am fed up with WS3.

Give Trixology's WeatherCat free trial a look. It is easy to set up and use, has a lot of flexibility, there's a very active user forum with daily developer involvement and user created templates, and is Mac only, so no cross-platform envy. ;)

I like Cumulus. I use it as a backup on an alternative PC. WD actually has several other display options that are fun to play with. There's a thing called WDL (Weather Display Live) display which is included and can be edited using a separate WDL configurator program also available on the WD web site. Free add-on if you don't plan to use with a web site. If you do it's 40$. But the WDL configurator and WDL display in WD software is fun to play with.

I have mine set up to resemble an old 60's instrument panel like those used on Maximum or the Taylor WeatherScope. See attached photo.

I use Cumulus, with WL as a backup for my data. But, I ruined the poll. I accidentally clicked Cumulus and WD, instead of WL. So now your poll is meaningless. Sorry.

Not meaningless, just off by a vote.  Strangle enough, I set up this poll to be able to edit your vote by clicking the "remove vote" link next to the poll.  However, now the link doesn't show up.  It may be a bug in the forum software.  I set up a test poll in the testing area and the same thing happened.

I currently don't run any software but hope to upgrade in the future. I am curious as to what the results of this poll will show, do you intend to rank the numbers of each program currently being used?

I edited the poll and added the option of "none".  Vote for that and then you will see the results.

I use the WeatherLink website to upload my data to CWOP. But WD has a much better software, I love it.

I have a VP2+ with DataLinkIP. I was using WeatherLink this morning. I then closed it down and switched to W.Display which I prefer. Sending to Davis stopped and from Davis to Wunderland. Recommenced when I closed down WD and switched back to WL why? DL-IP sends when computer is switched off, so why stop sending when switched? Weird.

Hi There running Vws for a couple of years stabile as can be,futher I use weather display for the 1-wire lightning and extra temp sensors and is stabile also.

If I had to choose for one on them  Vws would be the winner.

Weather link only is used for my year means temp, and is further of non importance,Davis should do something about this old and dated software.

Cheers Chris

Started with weather link then went with VWS and stumbled onto Cumulus which keeps on purring along since 2010. I preferred the way Cumulus was calculating wind data and sending to CWOP so stuck with it.

I hope this poll will continue to be added to, so here is a snapshot in time taken on February 1st, 2014.  The poll results show nothing more than the programs that the 150+ members here (who have voted) are using today.  Members could vote for more than one weather software package.

Sorted in order of popularity:

Which weather software do you use?

Weather Display     41 (26.3%)
WeatherLink     35 (22.4%)
Cumulus     33 (21.2%)
Virtual Weather Station     20 (12.8%)

WUHU      4 (2.6%)
WeatherTracker       2 (1.3%)
WeatherCat      2 (1.3%)
WeeWx      2 (1.3%)
none      2 (1.3%)
Heavy Weather     1 (0.6%)

Downloaded most of the free trial software I could find when I put my VP2+ in service February of 2011 and after considering price and ease of use I went with Cumulus. Updates and new versions load without a problem and runs without interruption, except by me, when doing some maintenance.

Very happy with it.

It cruises on a laptop in my basement along with Sebectec for my photos and videos.

Since installing a Davis VP2+ FARS, I have switched from an ambient instrument / cumulus to WD. I have a WeatherlinkIP this s sending data to Davis, in turn Davis is send 15 min updates to Wunderground. I sometime plug the ambient instrument into WeatherSnoop3 on the MacBook, which is rubbish, the app, not the MacBook.

I used WeatherView32 with my Rainwise system for about 16 years.  Recently moved to weewx with new Davis Vantage VUE.  Like the weewx software so much better.  Should have moved to it long time ago!

I use WeatherLink.  Yesterday I down loaded Cumulus release v1.9.4 (build 1089).  When installing Avast anti-virus threw a fit, dumped the file into quarantine and rebooted my machine into a boot scan mode.

Anyone want to comment on that?
