Trouble connecting Vantage Vue console to new sensor suite
« on: November 18, 2017, 06:45:03 PM »
Hello all,

I have searched and can not find a solution to why my new sensor suite will not transmit data. I am replacing the old sensor suite. The console shows receiving from the sensor suite but is not showing the data on the console, the suite is showing transmission on the suite, (green light blinks)

I know I am missing something and can't seem to figure it out .
Input and help is appreciated

Is the SS and Vue console BOTH on the same channel?

Yes and now it seems to be working:) Maybe I wasn't waiting long enough for it to connect?

Maybe.

What's the current status (location, etc.) of your old sensor suite, and why did you get a new one?

it was 10 years old and wasn't reading the correct humidity, I gave up and thought it easier to buy a new suite.  I have it mounted in the same location as the old one about 100ft from the console.  I took the battery out of the old one and put the old suite in our metal pump house lol, it can't pick the old one up from there.

I was just concerned about possible interference - RF can be sneaky - but if the battery has been out for a couple of days, and there's no sun in the pump house, then you should be OK.  However.......  it would be wise to make sure.

Your recent dew-point measurements have been very "interesting".

Glad you got it fixed.
