Metal Tornado
« on: March 28, 2012, 02:36:26 PM »
Wow.   I caught the last half hour of this movie on TMN (Canada's equivalent of HBO...).   Nothing on my PVR, so I was flipping.  This was in the early prime time slot on the primary channel.  It made movies like Category 6 and 7, Disaster Zone: Volcano in New York, 10.5 and 10.5: Apocalypse look like Emmy/Oscar contenders.

Apparently it is/was on ScyFy down in the states.

If the exciting conclusion was that bad, cant imagine the the first 60 or 90 minutes of plot building was like.
Wasnt fortunate enough to have seen Ice Twisters, but I am sure the two would make a great double feature.

I think the only actual weather-related movie I liked was "Twister" and "Storm Cell"....Not a huge fan of Sci-fi original movies as it is but the weather ones are well....you know ;)

I actually get a good laugh watching Sci-fi "B" (or"C") rated movies. Obviously you can't take them seriously. I will have to watch out for this one.
By the way, did they threaten to nuke it?  ;)

Not in the last 30 minutes... but wouldnt want to spoil the ending for anyone that wants to waste 90 minutes of their life.

I gotta see this. I like a good weather themed "monster" movie, even if it is of the B-grade scale. Throw in some meaningless nudity and some popcorn and I'd probably be entertained on a Saturday night (before running back to this thread and screaming about how many errors there were in the film.) =P
