Stormvue NGX
« on: April 15, 2012, 07:28:19 PM »
I came across this site in Michigan's thumb area. I have visited it before, but it now is reporting lightning via what appears to be a new version of Stormvue called NGX. This is pretty slick. I don't see where you can get it yet but I don't have a Boltek yet anyways... :-(

The page is http://www.sandpointweather.com/wxstormvue.php

You can change the range and other controls to customize it a bit.

Tried a few pages on my pc at home last night, initializing for a few minutes, then errored out.
This morning at work, it worked.

So he went with Flash. Looks nice. Glad Relko did not go with Silverlight (he hinted at that last year).   I will have to take a look at perhaps rolling NGX out on my site.

Keep in mind it's still alpha software. However, it appears to be working fine on my site.

I know.  Just odd that it wont run on my laptop.  Pretty new Win 7, IE 8, latest Flash update, default settings.  Wx desktop similar setup, but runs fine.  :?:
