I have noticed that my Boltek, which is now inside a  2 x 2 " piece of downspout plastic square tube, gets a bit warm, enough to feel when you hold it.

I'm putting the bubble together out of pieces from Menard's and wonder if those who've built them before ended up feeling of the antenna after it has been on, or if you have popped the top cap off during a day of bright sunshine and hot temperatures, to see if the innards are too warm?

I notice one commenter said he drilled a couple small holes for ventilation.  Another pressed foam about the antenna for stability, and wonder if that would only hold the heat in more.

After these have been in use for awhile, can the owners comment on the heat build up?

Any clever ways to provide strain relief for the feed line without resorting to a glob of hot glue or silicone seal?

(PS why does the antenna get warm?  Are there active electronics in the box?)
