E-mail notifications now on by default?
« on: February 15, 2014, 08:33:58 AM »
I noticed that since the upgrade, e-mail notifications are being set to alert me whenever a new post is made on any message thread that I post on.  Had to go digging through my user profile settings to find where the option is to disable it.  I'm surprised that nobody else has brought this up yet, but think that this setting should be disabled for everyone unless specifically enabled by individual choice.....

Mine did not do that.  Maybe just a minor glitch in your case?

Mouse over "Profile" and when the drop-down menu opens click on "Account Settings".

Mouse over "Modify Profile" and when the drop-down menu opens click on "Notifications".

Once the "Notifications" window opens uncheck the first box beside "Turn notification on when you post or reply to a topic."

Once the box is unchecked click on "Save settings" located on the lower right hand corner of that section.

Maybe I got it right. :)
