A founding member of the Weather Underground is pulling the plug after 14.5 years. The most memorable quote:

"A huge heartfelt thank-you goes to my WU co-founders and co-workers that helped make WU the special place that it was"

I have followed his blog on WU for many years and he was instrumental in piquing my interest in weather and how it affects all of us. I will continue to follow him at the Scientific American site.

Hmmm, and what seems typical...no thanks to the many hobbyists who've sent their data to WU-HOOO for years?

What is the web address for his Scientific American site?

If he's that good, others might like to take a look and decide if they want to follow.

Is there a subscription fee or is this a free access site?
Thanks for the heads up on interesting weather discussions, especially to learn something.

I feel the same about Paul Douglas (Weather Nation founder) and previous local TV guy.  Very educational reading his blog in the Star Tribune newspaper from the Twin Cities area.  I do subscribe to the paper so I'm not sure if you can get to his blog for free or not, but should be able to look a couple times for just checking it out:
