Steam devils

I have never heard of these. They are like dust devils but much smaller. Scroll down a bit and you'll see them.
Also if you get a chance look at some of this guys photography on the rest of his site.
He's very good at what he does.

Those are very impressive shots!

We often drive on a bridge over a slow moving but wide river/lake that is pretty protected by trees. On some cool, calm mornings we will see such "steam devils" as those pictured here.
