I think that this topic is worthy of a forum sticky post.
1) AcuLink Bridge only updates AcuRite's My Backyard Weather (MBW) web site, in near-real time. MBW can feed Weather Underground (WU), but at 15 minute intervals. (Am I correct about the WU feed times?)
2) Weather Display (WD) interfaces *only* with the USB ports on AcuRite consoles. It uses an AcuRite-provided Windows USB program to communicate with the console, which is only available on the Windows version of WD. There is no support to run WD and interface with an AcuRite console on a Mac, Linux, Raspberry Pi, grapefruit, orange, or anything else that isn't Windows.
3) Meteobridge supports interfacing their standalone bridge hardware to an AcuRite USB console port, as user docbee has pointed out a few times in this forum.
Helping you decide which you want:
If you just want to see your weather station from the road and not share the data, the AcuRite Bridge and MBW will do the job.
If you want to turn your PC off and upload 24/7 to various web weather sites, Meteobridge and a USB interface to an AcuRite console should meet this need.
If you don't mind leaving your PC on 24/7 or want the cat's meow of weather software that updates everything including your own personal web site, then Weather Display and a USB interface to an AcuRite console (along with a *Windows* PC) is your only choice.
What do I use? Since I have no desire to share my console data or log historic trends, I have the AcuLink Bridge and view it through MBW.....
