Getting Water inside ISS
« on: March 09, 2008, 11:30:23 AM »
Some how or another I am getting water inside my ISS unit, then my base gets lines across the outside readings.

Well, when I bring the unit inside and let it dry out, it works great!!  Can't figure out how moisture is getting inside
the unit since it has the rubber seal around plate with the solar panel.

Any ideas ???

Thanks..

I recall reading somewhere that there might be a problem with the antenna seal...

Well, that was what I thinking.. I just put some di-electric grease over the antenna
and it's seal. I hope that will work, this is the third time this has happened.

Contact Davis about this. I believe they released a modification a year or so ago. Now I'm not exactly sure if it was for the antenna or the hole where the cables route through the housing but it's worth contacting them. Let us know what you find out.

The modification was for the antenna. I had the same problem and they sent me a sleeve to put over the antenna that solved the problem.
