Chris:

Its an Olympus C-4000 digital camera.  Its four or five years old.  I actually set it up using tips that YOU posted regarding your  webcam;  I needed the usb extender that you used.  It worked great!  Thanks for the info.

Not to get off topic, but are you telling me that you took a normal point and shoot digital camera and made it your webcam?  If so, please email me or PM a link to how I do this.  I have a Toshiba IK-WB11A network camera and was going to see if I could get it to work somehow.  Also I have a couple of older digital cameras collecting dust.  If I can put them to use then please point me in the right direction.

By the way that image is stunning - Nice work!

Looks great! I should maybe think about using my old Sony Mavica digital cam for something. I thought about putting it up for grabs on ebay lately but now that may change. Thanks for the info on the cam and I'm glad that cable worked out ok for you.  :D

Yes, you are correct.  I had a VERY old camera laying around and the software was free.  I spend about $35.00US total for the setup.  The best part about the set up is the low light images.  Take a look at the page at nighttime!  Just no video though  .  The link that made me aware of the possibility is here:

Also, there is a forum with a little additional info here:

Hope this helps :)

Are you saying that you can't use your IK-WB11A?  That is one of the cams I use on my site.  I use it with Image Salsa.  Let me know if you need help setting it up, I have a lot of undocumented http codes.
