Perhaps too obvious to ask: Did you press the "Apply" button?

It works  for me.

Please see screenshots proof.
1. Choose update every minute, press apply
2. Go to other Station Setting tab
3. Come back to Weather Network tab

What happens if you also leave WU stationID and password empty? Does it keep your setting that way?

Here are the screenshots showing the process.
1. Select from the dropdown "One minute"
2. Apply and OK
3. Screen updates and it looks correct
4. Go to another tab
5. Return and it resets back to "No Update"

I have tried each of the timing options and it doesnt save them - so its not the specific one minute option that isnt working.
I have also rebooted the unit from the webpage with no change.

I have also tried firmware v4.0.7 and v4.0.8 with no success.

According to Fine Offset (Ed from Ambient to confirm) ambientweather.net is only available to US customers, or practically, owners of US equipment that operates on 915Mhz (Station Settings page). In such cases, apparently, the setting other than "No update" will not stick. Bit of a poor UI then...

For bthoven I can see this is not the case, and I suspect others with this problem are also not on 915MHz. I am in the US and that would explain why I don't have the problem.

Why there is the US equipment/customer only policy I don't know. May be Ed will provide insight.

Im the UK, so mine is running on 433 (i think!)

That would make sense as to why its not working for me but a) its a poor UI and b) there is no mention of US only when registering for ambientweather.net

I used to be able to upload data to the dashboard when it was newly introduced. It could be that Ambientweather now only accepts data from the equipment they sell, by checking the mac address against their database. Mine is a 433mhz version ordered directly from China labeled as Misol brand.

Ed posted in another thread. ambientweather.net is meant for Ambient Branded equipment only (which means US equipment bought from them). For other brands/types, the upload setting will revert back to "No Update" all the time.

I wonder what will happen if you get an "Ambient" ObserverIp and hook that up to the third party equipment, if that will work. After all, it is the OIP that talks to Ambient. Just a thought.  :???:

From what I understand the firmware (in the ObserverIP) distinguishes US equipment (Ambient) from other labelled version by inspecting the frequency of the wireless sensor packages, which are 915 MHz in the US and 433 MHz elsewhere. The ObserverIP itself is not actually different, it is the sensor wireless.

So, in your scenario, in order for things to function, the firmware would have to discover, or you would have to configure 433MHz, and that would then "disable" uploads to ambientweather.net.
