That surely is impressive!

I've been laying here thinking about redoing mine when I'm up and about.  I'm going to save those pics (along with some others) so I'll have some great ideas to look at when the time comes.

I hope your unit works as good as it looks!

Until I looked at your pictures I had not thought about using Kindorf clamps to mount my anemometer support pole.  I am thinking of mounting it about 12 feet above my roof on a pipe that is attached to the side of the home and extends through the roof. The Kindorf clamps will allow me to lower it with minor effort for any future maintenance.

I hadn't considered using a mailbox post.  That seems like it's just the thing for mounting sensors.

So how high is your annemometer?

Thanks everyone. It is around 15 feet tall but it is over 100 feet to to the closest object which is my house. I have not grounded it yet but I am going to use #12 wire and a ground rod.

Very nicely done! I also used unistrut clamps for mounting my mast.

I'm jealous of your location. I have trees everywhere in my yard with no really good spots.

What was the reason for the curved section at the top?

Considering the thread's over 10 years old, I'd suggest not holding your breath for a reply. [tup]

I would suggest having a gap all the way around between the cap and the body of that shield to let the heat out or it may get trapped in the top. Perhaps some kind of legs? Otherwise I like the installation a lot.

Wow. The station is probably long since dead.

I believe its still running. I'd be interested if its still the same equipment. QC ratings are real good.

Yikes! Sorry about that. I swear yesterday I was browsing the forum and when I checked the "Weather Station Pictures" sub forum this thread was right at the top. I didn't see the date...  #-o

I'll try to pay closer attention in the future.

Jeez, don't beat yourself up. You're certainly not the first and certainly won't be the last to reply to an "ancient" thread.
