Yesterday evening was a beautiful time to sit on my brother's back porch, drink ginger ale, pet his dog, and celebrate my Mother's birthday.
She is in her 70's and she has been a responsible parent to us and has supported my granddaughter as well. The remaining days of her life are precious and dear to me. It was comfortable and dry as the unusually cool weather has affected the region. After a restful sleep thanks to my brother's wonderful cooking I noticed it was raining once again. The total was a little over a tenth of an inch. More good times are ahead with the 4th of July coming up and more relatives coming over and I hope it is not as stormy as it is predicted to be but remains in the 80's for highs. I know that may be too much to ask for as mild Summer temperatures rarely coincide with dry weather in these parts. Summer is the best time of year for most of us.
