Current NWS forecast stuck on 9/29/18
« on: October 02, 2018, 10:11:32 AM »
My current forecast appears to be stuck on Sep 29. Looks like it is a NWS issue but was wondering if there is something I can do in the meantime(?). Thanks.

Mine is stuck as well (peotoneweather.com). There must be a work arround because jolietwx (in our area) has a current forecast?

If you are using the v5.0x forecast script, you are prone to anomalies because the underlying NWS service is still in beta. You can contact the NWS office via the info given to let them know that their "new API" forecast is out of date.

If you don't want to deal with issues of the forecast being old or unavailable, stick with the v4.0x version of the forecast script.

(Ken, maybe we should have a sticky thread at the top to remind people of this...)

Replacing with the 4.x version got me back in business. Thanks so much!

Nevertheless I would urge you to contact the indicated WFO after entering your zip code here: https://forecast-v3.weather.gov/

They created a trouble ticket for me and corrected the issue(s) at OAX.

Let them know you're very interested in the new point forecasts.  It can't hurt.
