I'm getting quite a few hits a day from Guest : unknown no IP anyway to find out who or what this is?? or Block?
-
If you have access to your raw server logs, you should be able to match those up by time(s) and see if they need to be blocked.

hmmm not sure if I do I will take a look in cpanel Thanks
-
If you are unable to see them in cPanel, try looking through your FTP program you use to upload your files.
-
I found them in cpanel just need to figure out what I am looking for!! :-)

This is what one line of my logs looks like:
199.16.157.183 - - [31/Dec/2016:00:00:08 -0500] "GET / HTTP/1.1" 403 354 "-" "Twitterbot/1.0" 0 0 "off:-:-" 379 11518 192.252.144.23 salineweather.com
Hope this will help to find what you are looking at.

Thanks for your help I found in the logs a line that says onlinehome-server.com this is the only lines I see with no IP address attached all have /clientraw.txt someone using my info??
-
Are you by chance with Go-Daddy? If so, try going into your FTP program, log in like your going to upload a file and look for a folder called "logs", or its equivalent. If you find the folder, open it. There "should" be some files in there. One possibly listed like "ftp.yourwebsite-ftp_log-etc.gz", the other should list your website name with a -December2016.gz. This is the one you need. If you have that, please download it. You should be able to extract it with the built in Windows extraction or something like Win-Zip, etc.
Once finished, you should have a large file ending in a .txt extension. I use Notepad++ to look at mine as Notepad doesn't always like the huge .txt files.

Yes been looking at this file that is where I saw the onlinehome-server.com with no IP attached? I am with Godaddy
I do see under that line mesonet conditions loader
-
Interesting. I don't believe I have ever had a visitor without an IP being listed in my logs.
Do you have an .htaccess file in your websites' root directory? This could help eliminate the extra hits from unknowns, etc.
-
Yes I do not sure if it is setup correct but it is there.
-
Think I remember reading that the script doesn't support IPv6. That might be the issue...
-
Ahhh that could be the issue!!
