Snow in Florida?
« on: November 22, 2006, 06:03:50 AM »
Sure enough. Last night my wife came racing in the house about 9PM to say it was snowing. Looked outside, and I'll be damned, it was snowing. The surface temp was only in the forty's but the air aloft is extremely cold.
After it melted the rain gauge measured .001.
Global warming, not here in Fla :D

Wow!    There was some mention of possible flurries farther north but I never expected you'd see anything like that in Ocala. This is quite the cold snap. Well, cold for FL anyway. Our highs yesterday didn't break 60 (59.5). First time I've ever seen that in November since I've been keeping records here. Not that I'm saying it's never happened before. But it is very unusual for November.

Well we had snow in Queensland the other week, and that's sure unusual to have in Queensland any time of the year.  :)

Some people have all the luck - still nothing this season in southern NJ.  I noticed during the Monday night game in Jax that people looked all bundled up, guess it was cold there!  We have a nasty coastal storm moving in the next couple days.

I sent that down special for you Dave!  Glad to hear it made it.  I'll try to get some more down there for you and Anole since I seemed to have missed him about Christmas.

Snow in Florida before a single flake is sighted in Massachusetts??!?!  I want someone to figure out when the last time that happened is.  The temperature dipped below 23 degrees the other morning, but not even a near-snow experience yet this season.  We will get it eventually!
