WD not updating in website
« on: July 03, 2014, 02:27:44 PM »
Hello folks,

Since a couple of days now, WD is not updating my website (at least, correctly) Only clientraw.txt is up-to-date

What is causing this ?

I have not touched anything, and I was not home either when this occurred.

Thank you!

Fred

This is just a guess, but perhaps WD restarted while you were gone.  In the past I've had problems with WD's ftpupd32 not getting properly set up upon a restart unless I go into 'Control Panel'-'FTP/Internet Setup' and the 'Webfiles Upload and Time' tab to click 'Upload All Now'.  I ALWAYS go there and click the 'Upload All Now' button after a restart because it's a cheap insurance policy against Murphy's Law.

I have done that. But I can see on the FTP server logs that only clientraw.txt is uploaded

That's really strange...

Fred,

If you are using Avast for AV, you'll probably find ftpupd.exe quarantined.  That happened to me about 2 days ago.

Yes, that was the trick! I had to put the file in the exclusion area.

Thank you   \:D/
