Topic: go daddy hosting not working

Anyone else having problems with go daddy hosting? Mine as of this post is not updating my site. I am at work so can't do much here . just want to see if its just me or others have same problem

I have had trouble intermittently lately mostly with ftp. The best I can figure is something is blocking my IP address and I think its Godaddy. I am currently using a VPN and that seems to work.  I also cant connect to my site through a browser using my home network but if I turn my cell wifi off and use the cellular data it connects as expected go back to wifi and it doesn't connect.

I've been getting constant 500 (internal server) errors for a few weeks now.  Upon clicking the refresh button, everything is OK, but it's getting annoying.    I've read that it could be due to shared hosting.  Has anyone else encountered this?

I have received them a couple of times over the last 12 months or so. A refresh fixes them.  Being honest, I don't get enough visitors / constant hitting on the site to warrant doing anything about it.

Looks like next year I am going to leave godaddy. I should not let it get to me. its just a hobby but its just makes me mad knowing that my data is not updating right now. ( I know I need a life) I will be fine.....just time to leave the computer for the day. Take care everyone

Mine is playing up as well, just called them and they recognized their is a problem at their end.

mine is still down. it looks like it did upload like 20min ago but now its dead again. Right now I am looking at 1and1 website..

Just got the monthly stats from Pingdom - 3 outages, total overall time 1h 45m

I just helped a friend of mine with this same GoDanica issue....  As I looked into it, the index.html file was locked.  No read, write or execute permissions.  I couldn't do anything with it.... delete, rename or execute.  I couldn't even copy it to another folder or download it.  Called GoDaddy support and they couldn't do anything with it either.  Of course they blamed my friends ftp client.  We went round and round with them.  Finally I was able to put a redirect on an index.htm file and then put their site under mine with InMotion hosting.  Not a single issue.....  They are now with InMotion and have not had a problem.  There is something going on with file permissions at GoDaddy.....
