VP2 Owners, Station Poll
« on: June 10, 2009, 06:54:24 PM »
I'm posting a couple of polls for Davis owners. This on is to see which stations people own. The follow-on poll will be for extra wireless sensors.

Please post any other relevant info or questions, too.

Thanks for your help!

Chris

I have an original VP with a 4 sensor soil temp station (removed from service); a wireless VP2+ with day fan, using a WaterLog rain gauge instead of the Davis tipping bucket, and using an R M Young 50103 wind monitor instead of the Davis anemometer; a wired VP2.

VP2, wireless with daytime FARS.  Home-made rain collector heater.
Otherwise, just like it came out of the box.

Wireless VP2 w/ solar and 24 hr FARS.  I cheat and use a neighbor's wireless VP2 as a temp/hum station to compare with my readings.

Wireless VP2 w/ solar, 24hr FARS, Heater, (Envoy-WLIP)*3-Meteohub, plus custom VP2 @ 26', WL 6.0.4, WU & W4U=KNVRENO37 NetcamXL

People always talk about the weather, but they never do anything about it.  Not me.  I'm gonna measure it.  https://www.tceweather.com

Here i'm using a VP2 without any extras, i wondered if i should get a daytime fan, but with the weather conditions we are having here north i see no point at the time. It's doing the job great

Edit: Forgot to mention that my VP2 is wireless  ;)

Hi all
I just upgraded from a LaCrosse 2308.  What a piece of c*#^.

I upgraded to a VP2 wireless.  I had to piece it because of cost but I added the daytime fan and the sun has been out once sense added.  Got to love mother nature in NH.  I also built a heater for the rain collector but winter is a long ways off, I hope.  Last winter was long enough!

This is agreat site.  I have gotten a lot of info from here.  Keep up the good work.  My next project will be getting a web site up and running.

Thanks
hollisav

My station is a VP2 Pro Minus....not a plus....lol.....I bought the base ISS and added the solar sensor. Someday I will have saved enough pennies to add the UV sensor.

I have the VP 2 with a daytime only FARS and Solar/UV sensors that I bought after I had bought the station.

I am also using the weatherlink IP datalogger.

Wireless Vantage Pro2™ with 24-Hour Fan Aspirated Radiation Shield (#6153) was the choice for my first (& current) station.

I'm on an acre in a high lightning event area so it made sense to me to be unteathered and without any siting restrictions.

I use a VP2™ Wireless Plus with FARS locally, and three VP2™ Wireless at remote locations.

Just got my Wireless VP2 going and this thing rocks.  Very happy I went with the 24H FARS.
