I am unfamiliar with the "./" terminology being a very old newbie !

A single "dot" references the current directory. So "./" means that the file is located there.

A double dot is two levels up. ../ would mean that the file is located a level above the current.

I have to use the "./" prefix for my bash (shell) scripts on my Linux box. Otherwise it doesn't know where to look.

Some of us consider that a HUGE privacy violation and have actively taken numerous steps to protect our locations in every way possible.

Strange that in all the years Davis have been using Sensiron they would not have seen this problem with the stations they have on test at Hayward and out in the field  :?

Maybe they just don't look, these aren't necessarily all weather geeks like us watching closely especially me and many on this forum do.
They were running about +3 DP last time I looked over airport and currently same temperature and + 10% humidity from nearby airport. Really classic example without the high heat. I really don't know exactly where both are located other than Davis is near the water.

Put this in high heat index content and they may have noticed.

Maybe to soon for an immigrant to be making suggestions but...

It would be nice if the location of each poster in a thread could be visible without having to go to profile
.
Helps sometimes to know where a poster is commenting from.

This is very good news Davis is going to take a serious look.
From Davis tech support:

Hello Randy,

This is of serious concern to us and our engineering team is actively looking in to this.  I really appreciate you pushing so hard on this issue.  Itís only going to make us better.

I need to give them time to quantify the problem/drift, determine root cause and come up with a solution.

Hmmm.  Ok, seems the Davis implementation of the Sht31 sensor isn't optimal and has it's deficiencies.  Rather disappointing to find out.  :-|  As I've mentioned elsewhere, I'm the king of procrastinators and have a 2-year-old Sht31 sensor still in the bubble wrap that I intended to install soon.  Now I'm wondering if I should just wait and see what Davis comes up with.  Over the last year or so I've noticed the heat indexes have "seemed" elevated more than I recalled them being when the station was newer.

Yesterday I measured (old circa 2013 sensor still in place) a high temperature of 91.5F, looking at a graph the humidity appeared to be 55%...this calculates to a heat index of ~100F.  My Davis station reported a heat index of 111.4F.  So, even going with the discredited SHT31 assembly, I suppose I should see "some" improvement regarding these numbers...???

My station is now a touch over five years old, so I guess it's expected that the temp/humidity sensor is questionable.  I'm one of those living in a high-temperature/high humidity area as are most folks in the southeast part of the USA where the heat index can be fairly important.

If I were you, Iíll go ahead and replace it with your new sensor but replace the filter cap to Sensirionís SF2 cap

I have the Hikvision 2032 model and it has been working great for years. If you click the link below it shows the specs about my cam.

Ryan,
What direction do you have your camera pointed?  Any issues with the sun catching the lens?
Still recommend this model?

I am looking for something to capture the monsoon activity we have out here in Arizona... and something that can stand up to the heat.

That link for the Bresser station seems to be the same thing as Ambient Weather WS-8478 Falcon. In the US that doesn't seem to be a popular choice but it is a new model. Then again maybe it is as it shows being sold out at Ambient. I still think the WS-2902A is Ambient's current best seller. I don't see an equivalent at Bresser.

So if you want to know more about that particular Bresser you linked to then just search on WS-8478 and see what people that have it are saying.

Marshalltown newspaper.

A little humor-there was a tweet that said that Maidrite was still open. If you know anything about Iowa, Marshalltown and Maidrite-that is funny.
The Maidrite was open making sandwiches for the first responders only.  First reponders going door to door looking for injured people. Yeah, loose meat is one thing, spoon burgers, but they opened up to feed the first responders, police and fire and other rescuers, not to make a buck.

Just Awesome. Go Iowa!!!!
