Title: ***SOLD***: Davis Vantage Pro 2 Cabled (6152C) complete *Brand new in box*
Post by: jenielsen on December 30, 2011, 07:17:11 PM
My wonderful wife got me a gift for Christmas that she's known I wanted for a VERY long time.  However, when my wife ordered the Davis, unfortunately she ordered the Vantage Pro Cabled 6152C instead of the 6152 wireless.  Given my layout, it just isn't possible for me to have the cabled version.  We thought "no problem, we'll just return it".  However, when she bought it she didn't realize that that there is a 20% restocking fee.   You do the math... It's just a bit atrocious.  Therefore, I'm going to sell it outright and hopefully not loose so much on it.

So, I have a Brand new, unwrapped at Christmas, Davis Vantage Pro 2 Cabled 6152C for sale.

Asking $335.

Please leave a message here or PM me if you have interest

Care to share the company that wouldn't make the exchange? That would be good information for the forum when we make recommendations of purchase locations.

Yeah, I'm with George on that idea....a little 'attention' here may get a policy change.

I'm not much into bashing.  The company policy is stated in the returns section of their website.  My wife didn't even think about it.  She saw the 6152 on some of my notes and put the 6152C in her cart instead, not even considering there might be a difference.  I've tried "reasoning" with the customer service to no avail, and I'm just moving on.

Sucks because probably anyone who wanted one, got one for Christmas and doesn't need it now.  If I can't sell it here, I'll try eBay, as I see they get $400-445 for them.

SOLD! to jleeryan99, a new user here on wxforum.  Hopefully he will have his first post once he receives it and gets it set up.
The sucky thing is that he will have his 6152c probably set-up, and running before I even get mine!  *DOH*

A note to everyone:  NEVER buy from a company that doesn't give no-hassle returns.

Most companies dont consider and exchange for a more expensive item a "return".  They are typically glad to do a higher priced sale.......
