Learning the importance of a mobile site.
« on: December 15, 2016, 09:12:29 AM »
Slowly i'm learning the importance of having a mobile site. I've got a couple pages that show
school & business closings and when the weather is bad they get hit a lot. I've noticed that A LOT
of people use some kind of mobile device to hit my site. This morning was bad here and the percentage
of mobile vs desktop users was pretty evident.

People want their info on the go as you can see by the attachment.

When I started my site nobody used mobile devices. Now everyone does. So I guess
a winter project will be to rebuild my site to be responsive I guess. Right now it redirects
mobile devices to a mobile friendly site which is nice, but I guess the way to do it right
would be to build 1 multi device site I guess.

Just my 2 cents.

More people now access the web via a mobile device, just a few months ago the percentage passed 50%. And in case of teenagers I guess it is even much more.
