Battery Display
« on: October 30, 2018, 05:15:22 PM »
Does Ambient Weather make a Battery Based Display that will work with the New Osprey Array (WS-2902a type) or for the WS-1400 series array or the ObserverIP?   I am needed a replacement clock on a wall,  but do not want to run a power chord and wall wart off of it.

OK never mind,  After reading the manual,  I see that the WS-2902a-Console does accept 3 AAA batteries.    I have about talked myself into the 2902a over the 2000 because (at least according to what I can find),  the 2902a will connect to WeatherCloud,  the 2000 will not.

The WS-2902a will not run wifi when on batteries only.  Also the display will go into sleep mode (no back light) and will need a button press for it to come on for 15 seconds.

As of now the WS-2000 can be connected to WeatherCloud.  You can use the same awnet app for both the WS-2902a and WS-2000 displays for setting up WeatherCloud.
