Lacrosse 2810
« on: June 28, 2010, 08:27:45 PM »
I have had this weather station for about 3 months and all of a sudden it won't pick up any wind information.
I have tried many times to re-synch but to no avail. Any suggestions?

Hi gairec and welcome to the forum!

Running o.k. for about 3 months then the wind data went away suggests one of two things to me.  1. Your console/display has recently been subjected to RF interference such as a wireless lan access point/router, cordless phone, etc. This can cause the wind data section to drop out., or 2., Your wind sensor has a seal leak and got wet inside which many folks with this model have experienced. I hope it the first, interference.

Thanks for the info. It does sit on a shelf above my flat screen monitor and wireless router. But worked
fine for 3 months.

You could try temporarily relocating it (several hours) away from that area but still in range of the outdoor therm/hygro sensor to see if it recovers. If still nothing, it may be moisture in the wind sensor. Being that it's only a couple of months old you may be able to exchange it under warranty.
