Weird Forecast
« on: May 22, 2019, 08:11:04 AM »
Weird forecast this morning in both the NWS-Forecast-map and the advforecast2 scripts.
Repeatedly lists same text for different hours.

The weather. gov site for same area does not. It reads...
Quote
A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly before 8am. Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming sunny, with a high near 81. South wind 8 to 13 mph, with gusts as high as 23 mph.

Script error or source?

Mine is the same. I think is because of the source we are grabbing our data from, Might not be the same from the default when you enter the zip code on weather.gov.

That is an API issue with api.weather.gov -- sometimes, the loading of the GFS forecast to the api.weather.gov servers goes awry and you get odd issues like that.  The scripts both use exactly the same data (gridpoint forecast) for display, and just present what is included in the JSON returned from the API.   The advforecast2.php V5 will cache the result for 3600 seconds, the NWS-forecast-map.php V2 will simply display the last 'fetch' (no caching).
