Hi, I'm new to the forum. Does anyone know if Davis Vantage Vue has the ability to text or email weather alerts for wind gusts, temps, etc.. over a set threshold ? thx

As Bushman implies, this question is incomplete:

The Vue station itself simply measures and displays the weather data. It's what happens when data is passed via the (essential) data logger to another computer of some description that this sort of feature becomes possible. And then it depends on the computer platform and on which software you choose to run. Some software can do this, other software cannot.

Weatherlink for Windows would that be? If so and assuming you have an Internet connection then simplest option is to set up a frequent upload to weatherlink.com and have that generate the text alerts.

6512 is officially discontinued (which is why I didn't mention it!) but I'm sure there are still a few copies in the supply chain including, potentially, at SI.

But providing you're doing uploads to a (free) account at weatherlink.com via the Internet then you have pretty much the same features as 6512 - and more - available from wl.com.
