I've been working on adding CWOP upload to WeatherElement (WU and PWSweather already work), and today Iregistered one of my stations and got a basic script to do all the right things and upload a fixed data string to the server.
Now to integrate that into the other WU/PWS script, or maybe make a new one just for CWOP. There are some seemingly necessary time delays built into the script I modified that might make it problematic to bulk upload one station at a time.
.... Hmmm, but, I could open the socket once, do all the uploads and then close the socket....
Wait, what?? Sorry. Sometimes the ol' train of thought leaves the station and I don't know where it's headed.
In any case, each CWOP ID registrations requites a different email address. So I had to create a new address to get my testing station ID. If I do all the current WeatherElement stations, that's 30 new emails I need to make.
At least WU and PWSw allow multiple stations per account.
Now, where was that train headed??
