NWS Power Point Briefing
« on: March 05, 2018, 08:46:09 PM »
I came across this link, https://www.weather.gov/media/phi/current_briefing.pdf   and was wondering if something like this is available from all of the NWS locations, or is this just a Philly thing or bigger NWS sites?

The link suggest a media briefing and the page is a Power Point presentation in a PDF.

Seems specific to that WFO ... not one for mine (PQR).

I have seen a few of these in special circumstances from our NWS. Winter storms usually, as I recall. GID

PAH runs them.  Sometimes the Weather Story flips between a few panels.  Usually they use them for Severe Weather briefings.

Hi dwhitemv,

I don't have them for my local NWS site either. That was the first one I ever saw, and it was on one of my relatives facebook page in Philly, just was looking for more info on it, like if it was a new added feature or something.

Thanks all for the replies!

There is a map at Weatherstory Map that doesn't show anything east of the Ohio river valley or so.
The map is from the Western Region. I checked the "Eastern Region HQ" and they don't seem to show any links to the Weather Story.
There is also this Grid from the Central Region.
From what I can tell, the Eastern region doesn't seem to have the "Weather Story". If someone has a link showing the Eastern Region Wx Stories, I would be interested in seeing it.
