Topic: Relocating Boltek detector

I'm new to lightening detectors world and  we planning to move my friend Boltek StormTracker from his home to mine about 10 km distance but he is telling me that when bought Astrogenic's NexStorm software he specified the log/lat of his home and cannot be modified , is that correct ? can we modify the current log/lat of new location of detector or there is limitation ?!!

Contact Relko, the software author and he will let you know exactly what needs to be done. You can modify the maps yourself, but it is much easier to just purchase new maps for the new location. Besides, you first need to deal with the software license aspect of things, so you will need to contact him anyway.

If your new location is within approximately 30km radius of the old one
you can recenter the CVM map from within NexStorm. Instructions on how
to do this can be found in the user manual. For re-locations farther
than this a new map is required since the map projection changes with
latitude.
