air quality script
« on: April 30, 2017, 03:00:03 PM »
Hello,

The aqirss.php script stopped working, probably because of the change with nws forecast and the rss feed. I noticed that some users have a script aqi.php which has the same info and was wondering if someone would be so kind as to tell me where to find it.

Thanks in advance.

Bill

It looks like the RSS is still there but there is no data in it. This may be a temporary issue.

The newer page using the RSS script
http://www.weathercat.net/wxaqi3.php

The RSS feed
http://feeds.enviroflash.info/rss/realtime/133.xml

The old page not using RRS script
http://www.weathercat.net/wxaqi.php

Michael stopped supporting the scripts a long time ago and I'm not sure how to get them now.

Looks like the RSS started working just after I posted this. :)

Any now Santa Cruz has no current readings.

So the type of script does not seem to matter, the www.airnow.gov site just seems to not always have data.

Thank you weathercat for your information. I have fixed the maps and now I am trying to figure out why the "realtime air quality data" and the "air quality forecast" boxes show "data not available" and the buttons show "no data available" I have posted a link to the wxaqirss.php script I am working on for my website so that you can see what I am talking about.

Again, thanks for your help,

I finally resolved this as the problem was not with the script but in my server. My host changed the default settings for PHP.INI a few months ago and did not populate the .htaccess file.

Thanks,

Bill
