Hi there,

Sounds interesting though:

1. I would have to live in Minnesota, US. I don't I live in Devon, UK.

2. I would have to live to 101 years old to see it which is possible due to life expectancy going up at such a rate!

The next total solar eclipse visible in the mainland United States will come on August 21, 2017 I plan on seeing it
The path of totality will cross the entire country from Salem, Oregon to Charleston

This one will be close to you will so you have a change to see it 20 March 2015
The next one near the UK will not be quite visible from the British Isles, but the path crosses between Scotland and Iceland, over the Faroe Islands, and into the Arctic.  will result in a large partial eclipse across the UK, greater than 80% everywhere.

Y'all don't need to be worrying about the long range stuff since we only have a couple of months left.

Saw this and had to say that it is quite optimistic. When we talk about it in class-kids want to know when the next one in Minn is.  Can't wait to crush their dreams   I also have to remind them that they have NO CLUE where they will be in 2017-Most of my 8th graders will be heading off to college at that time.

I do too. I already have plans of where I will travel and stay overnight.

I will take that bet.
