Hi experts,
I've had this problem several times and now having it again and would prefer not to have to buy another TL-MR3040.

I've been having internet problems the last couple of days and I tried to switch my TL-MR3040 to a different wireless network buy logging into the device and changing the SSID and password info.  That didn't seem to work as now the device is not connected to WiFi and have the power light solid and the internet (last) light is flashing.  The IP address I used to get into it to change the wifi network no longer is valid.  How do I find the IP address so I can login back in or alternatively help it find find the internet/new wifi network?

Any help would be greatly appreciated to avoid buying a new TL-MR3040 and starting over.

Thanks,
Dave

The "fastest"  way is:
1. connect the device to your LAN with a network cable
2. reset the Meteobridge network settings to DHCP/LAN by pressing the button once during boot
See the Boot-Sequence explanation at http://meteobridge.com/wiki/index.php/Boot_Sequence

Then you can get thye Ip addres by:
a. using a network tool
b. or the device list in your router
c. or the "lazy way" by using magic-IP: http://meteobridge.com/wiki/index.php/Getting_Started

Thanks Wim for the response.  The TL-MR3040 isn't described in the boot sequence (just 3020) and so not sure the steps will be the same (the lights don't work the same etc.), but it does have a reset button and so I will have a play around and see if the patient will come back to life.

Thanks again for responding and any further advice welcomed.

Hi Wim and other experts,
So no luck resetting the TL-MR3040, I can't get the device to change from flashing internet light. I have pressing the reset button and also 30-30-30 but no change in lights at all and still can't see the device on my network.

Following the boot sequence and DHCP/LAN reset though I was able to revive two TL-MR3020s though and so may get the meteobridge swapped back to one of those devices. Thanks Wim!

Any other ideas on how to reset a TL-MR3040 welcomed?

Thanks,
Dave

Please note that the TL-MR3040 does not provide slow blinking during boot.
So when it is blinking fast and does not get to your WLAN, you should try to press the reset button until a slow blink appeared and release the button then

Hi Wim,
Thanks again for trying to help.

I found the reset button on the MR3040 but no matter when I pressed it or for how long the lights on the unit never changed - solid power and flashing internet.  Reluctantly I have given up on this unit at this point and have setup another unit.  This is now number 4 but at least I have units 1 and 2 available again thanks to you!

Regards,
Dave
