Last 3 days.
94/95/93.
It just won't end.
 :-(
Need this Rex block to go away. Three weeks ago we were consistently in the 100's, this month, pretty much living in the low 70's.

Nice supercell NW of my area, thing's spinning like a top, couplet and all. We don't see them much here. Kinda surprised it wasn't tornado warned....

First freeze last night in this suburb of Boston. About eight hours worth. Did what it was supposed to do to the buckwheat we planted as a cover crop in our planter boxes.

The thermometer here in the northeast dropped so quickly from 90 to 40 that you would think it passed a state trooper.....

Four days of around 70 this week with one of those possibly in the upper 70s.  High winds all day today.

Then dropping back into the 50s by the weekend.

Must be getting close to November.

First real cool morning, relatively speaking that is. 48 degrees.
Wife left the fans in the windows last night and the house was a chilly 60 degrees this morning.
Brrrr.

Guess I've never really paid that much attention, but it seems weird to me that so many leaves are still up.  Some trees are bare while others haven't really lost any at all.

Here is fall foliage prediction for 2018. Way off for our area leaves are gone and we shouldn't hit peak color until November 12th.

How can they be so far off with all the millions spent on technology and modeling?

Last Thursday, this was the 7 Day forecast:

This is what showed yesterday morning which is what happened:

I can understand how 7 to 10 day or longer out forecasts can be sketchy, but this was only 3-4 days.  They should be able to dial it in far better that close.

The 80 occurred at some point(s) between the hourly updates.

WOW, while going into Nov. from Oct. looks cool and rainy a large part of the time, still no first freeze expected here through Nov. 15.  Normal first freeze is early November.

I'm getting tired of the stagnant weather we're having out here. On the bright side, we've had somewhat seasonable temperatures, on the other hand, it looks like no systems are going to come by until at least mid-November.  :?

Life's too short to live someplace you don't enjoy. As soon as I retired within a month I was moving. I do miss the beauty of northern Arizona, southern Utah but doesn't compare to Nebraska weather. Yes I'm the oddball most are moving to the Grand Canyon state not leaving. I get the dumb looks and are you insane question, when I say I moved from Arizona....

Broke our 18 day dry spell finally. (.18) for month of November now. Will be interesting how this winter plays out with the weak to moderate El Nino expected. Still 70% chance of development they say.
They have already revised November from being warmer to equal chance. I'm more convinced than ever they are just shooting in the dark with these predictions.

That's not being an oddball, that's normal.
It's everyone else that's an oddball. :-)

A chance of rain before 4am, then a chance of rain and ****. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 36. Northeast wind around 9 mph becoming north northwest after midnight. "
